The Barge Inn, built in 1810 to coincide with the opening of the Kennet and Avon Canal, is a dog friendly inn with views of one of
Wiltshire's many chalk white horses. The ceiling of the bar has a painted mural of
Stonehenge and Wiltshire white horses and the pub is a Mecca for those interested in crop circles as many have appeared nearby including the famous one used on the cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Remasters' album. The Barge serves a fairly simple menu along with excellently well kept ales. |
