If you're looking for a specific inn, try searching from here but bear in mind there are circa 60,000 inns in the UK. Searching for a broader subject such as 'Dickens' will return results of County pages where you may find inns where Charles Dickens may have visited - you can then search the page directly.
If you're looking for something other than an inn, take a look at the About Britain page to find out a little about Britain or the history of British Pubs. We rely on help from you - so if there's anything you wish to see added to the Fat Badgers guide go via the Help Us page. We aim to add further lists similar to the one’s above such as pubs that are dog friendly if they are required but these sort of lists change on a daily basis so impossible for us to be up to date for the whole UK - pubs rarely move away from motorways or rivers so we’re happy to try and keep those lists up to date. If for any reason it’s really really important for you to know something about an inn before you go then please ring the pub direct, although it is entirely possible that a pub has changed it’s telephone number and not told us so that could be out of date as well! Visitors to the UK can find some useful information on the Visitors page along with all the tourist information ideas on our Places to Visit pages which are linked back to the main pub pages. These pages are our own recommendation of places we’ve been so can never be as up to date as the Official Visit Britain site as they probably pay someone to drive round the UK - something we can’t do as we’ve usually been drinking.
