The ocean sunfish, also known as Mola mola, is one of the most distinctive and unusual fish in the world. It is the heaviest known bony fish, with some individuals weighing up to 2,300 kilograms (5,100 pounds). Weight:
The average weight of an ocean sunfish ranges from 247 to 1,000 kilograms (545 to 2,205 pounds), making it the heaviest bony fish. The largest specimens can weigh more than 2,000 kilograms (4,400 pounds).
Fins:
The sunfish has large, triangular dorsal and anal fins that it uses to propel itself through the water. Unlike most fish that use their tail fin for propulsion, the sunfish relies on a combination of these fins for movement.
Skin:
